November 2014 – Horror School Nominated for award

I am so excited that “Horror School”; the  short film I made with Year 4 children from Brookfield Primary School in North London, has been nominated for an award at the Kids for Kids UK Film Competition. I worked with the the kids from conception to completion of the film. They wrote, storyboarded, designed, acted, directed, and edited it all themselves (with just a little help on the way from us!). They were brilliant and we had a ball making it.

There will be a screening on Saturday 15th Nov at the BFI Southbank in London. For more information have a look at the kids for kids website http://kidsforkidsuk.org

September 2014 – Working with words….

As well as my other work, I do a small amount of editing and writing. I often work with and for the novelist Danny Scheinmann (my husband!) – reading and editing his work. I’m also delighted to be working with my friend, the photographer Nadav Kander, crafting words to express his art. “Dust” is the 3rd book that he has asked me to work on. He writes, I listen, and edit, and together we find some meaning and form to his thoughts. Get along to the exhibition if you can. His work is amazing.
