Oct 2015 – Exciting new collaboration

I am delighted that we have secured a grant for an exciting collaboration between myself and Danny Scheinmann (storytellers), Buddy Films and consultant dermatologist Sandy McBride from the Royal Free Hospital, London. The collaboration will draw from true life stories collected from people with psoriasis to develop a live storytelling event, and later a short film which seeks to engage health professionals, people with psoriasis and the general public in the emotional story of what it is to live with psoriasis.

The performance and film aim to change the behaviour of health care professionals towards people with psoriasis, encouraging early and effective treatment and also  changing the behaviour of the public towards people with psoriasis raising understanding and reducing stigma and rejection.

Dec 2014 – Bowery Ballroom NYC with Max Richter

Performing with Max Richter at The Bowery Ballroom NYC was great. Its a lovely venue with loads of character and full of rock ‘n roll history. Max’s music sounded incredible – he was playing with ACME (American Contemporary Music Ensemble). I was performing the readings from Kafka and Czeslaw Milosz in  Max’s album The Blue Notebooks. http://houselist.bowerypresents.com/2014/12/08/the-bowery-ballroom-as-a-recital-hall-for-a-night/

November 2014 – Horror School Nominated for award

I am so excited that “Horror School”; the  short film I made with Year 4 children from Brookfield Primary School in North London, has been nominated for an award at the Kids for Kids UK Film Competition. I worked with the the kids from conception to completion of the film. They wrote, storyboarded, designed, acted, directed, and edited it all themselves (with just a little help on the way from us!). They were brilliant and we had a ball making it.
